An ultimate trek for the amateur trekkers who seek to frame the sprawling hues of the Himalayan range and the rich ambiance once for a lifetime, the Bhrigu Lake Trek in the Himachal Himalaya is the best pick from the bucket of easy treks in Himachal Pradesh that lies in and around Manali. The Bhrigu Lake that is laid amid a picturesque landscape at an altitude of 4,300 meters has its own legend that says, Maharishi Bhrigu used to mediate near the lake. During the winters the lake freezes and takes the shape of a disc and often the trail is dubbed as the Frozen Disc Trek. Further, the journey is enriched by the influence of the traditional colours of the Himachalis reflecting from the villages tucked in the mountains. The trail passes through the popular hamlet of Vashishth that is at an elevation of 3,600 meters.

The Bhrigu Lake trek, which is one of the shortest treks in and around Manali, commences from the popular hill station and leads to Gulaba and from there the trail continues to Kothi Thel that is at an elevation of 2,900 meters. After a steep ascend from Kothi Thel the trail winds up for an overnight camp at the vicinity of Bhrigu Lake and there again the journey commences for Vashisht Thel en route to Pandu Ropa. The downhill trek leads to Vashishth village and the journey presents the trekker a great view of the entire Kullu valley. The trail down to Manali passes through a thick forest and slowly emerges into the apple orchards and finally reaches the Vashisht hot spring then Manali.

The Bhrigu Lake Trek is open all year round and it is approximately a trail of 7 - 8 days from Manali. The trail sounds like a unique pick for family holidayers also.

Day 1: Delhi to Manali (510 kilometre/12 to 13 hours)

Today from Delhi we will board an AC Volvo coach leaving for to Manali in the evening. It will be an overnight voyage by bus.

Day 2: Manali

We will reach Manali in the morning where you will meet our executives who will assist you and get transferred to a pre-booked hotel in Manali. The following day is free for leisure activities in which you can relax in your hotel or can visit the famous Hadimba Devi Temple, the Tibetan Monastery old Manali, and the mall Road. We will be staying tonight at the hotel.

Day 3: Manali to Kulang and Trek to Moji Dugh (3250 meters) 4 hours

Today we all will meet at the Ram Bagh Chowk positioned near the Mall road. The village of Kulang is situated which is just 20 minutes from this point; it will be the place from where our trail will start off. As we move away from this charming valley, behind we get to see the pictorial views of Manali hill station and the jungle all around. After that, we will move ahead in the direction of Moji Dugh and pass through dense of pine, deodar and oak forests on the way. We will set up our first campsite in this extensive open space in this verdant and striking forest.

Day 4: Moji Dugh - Theli (3500 Meters) 5 hours

On this day, after having wholesome breakfast, we will begin our trek. The trail today will ascend gradually and will take you to tree line on the top. From this spot you can have the glimpse of the incredible Manali valley and several magnificent peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Shikharbeh, and Makarbeh which you can capture in your camera. Today, we will set up the camp in the midst of extensive elevated meadow of Theli. This region is covered all over with snow which is ahead of schedule at this time of the year, it is just like an extensive blanket of blooming wild alpine flowers as the spring season arrives.

Day 5: Theli - Bhrigu Lake (4235 meters) - Theli (3500 meters) 7 hours

On this day, the trail will ascend progressively before a very small, precipitous ascend to a lake. Then we will, hike over an expansive Bhrigu ridge, from here you will get impressive outlook of the Hanuman Peak, Kalihani Pass, Makarbeh, Shakarbeh, and the Manali pass towards the West side, on the East side you will get spectacular vistas of the Hampta, on north side the Friendship and the Rohtang ridge and to the North - West Shitidhar Massif.

Day 6: Theli - Vashisht (2600 meters) - Manali (4 hours)

It will be the last day of our trail; this trail will be a precipitous descent all the way through the chestnut, deodar, and the pine forests towards the village of Vashisht. This place is well-known for its hot water springs; to end the trek this place is the ideal destination along with a relaxing bath for long in the hot springs. Later, in the evening, we return back towards Manali where our trek ends.

Day 7: Manali - Delhi

This day is free for leisure activities and relaxing. In the evening, we will take the AC Volvo Bus from Manali and head towards Delhi. It will be an overnight voyage by bus.

Day 8: Delhi

Arrival at Delhi by morning in between 07:00 - 08:00 hrs.
