Laspa Dhura (5,913 m)
A lesser-known peak near the Milam Glacier, Laspa Dhura is considered a moderate summit, ideal for those new to peak climbing. Nanda Kot (6,861 m)
Nanda Kot, near Nanda Devi Peak (7816 m), resembles a fortress and is known as the "fort of the goddess." While more accessible than Nanda Devi, it is a significant challenge in its own right. Expeditions are long and demanding, requiring passage through tough glaciers and steep slopes. It's a rewarding objective for experienced teams.
Bhanoti Peak (5,645 m)
Bhanoti is a smaller, picturesque peak near the Pindari Glacier. Its moderate height and accessible terrain make it an ideal training ground for novice mountaineers. The monsoon washes away dust and haze, resulting in crisp air and stunningly clear skies. The days are pleasant and sunny, though temperatures drop sharply at night, especially as you gain altitude. Snowfall is minimal, making trails and routes accessible. The post-monsoon landscape is a sight to behold. The vegetation is lush and green from the rains. The glaciers and icefields are typically stable, and rock sections are dry, which is ideal for technical climbing.
Note : While these are the primary climbing seasons, some specific peaks or routes might have a slightly different best time. For example, some treks and peaks are popular in the winter for snow climbing, but they come with increased technical difficulty and extreme cold.
