Tarsar Marsar Lakes Trek

Start your adventure with a scenic drive from Srinagar to Aru Valley, located approximately 115 km away from Srinagar. After around 5-6 hours of trekking, reach Lidderwat, a beautiful campsite located near a gurgling river and surrounded by towering mountains. Today's trek takes you to the majestic Tarsar Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters and picturesque setting. After about 5-6 hours, you'll arrive at Tarsar Lake, a high-altitude lake surrounded by towering mountains. The view of the snow - capped peaks reflected in the turquoise waters is truly mesmerizing. On day 4, you will continue your trek towards Marsar Lake, which is another stunning alpine lake in the region. As you approach Marsar Lake, you'll be greeted by its pristine waters surrounded by snow - clad peaks. This remote lake is far less crowded than Tarsar, offering a sense of isolation and tranquility. Today, you'll descend to Sonamarg, one of the most beautiful valleys in Kashmir. The trek involves a long descent through alpine meadows, lush forests, and gushing streams. After an exciting 7 - 8 hours of trekking, you'll reach Sonamarg, where you can relax and explore the area before your overnight stay in a hotel or campsite.

After a hearty breakfast, you'll enjoy a scenic drive back to Srinagar, passing through beautiful meadows, rivers, and villages. You'll have time to explore the city's local attractions, like Dal Lake or the Mughal Gardens, before an overnight stay in Srinagar.
