A perfect getaway that is equipped with camps in the lap of nature at an altitude of 3,950 meters, Dayara Bugyal is a cliché combination of a spectral horizon with silver linings and alpine meadows that is dotted with several flowering plants. The trek to Dayara Bugyal bring into the picture a pristine haven that has been unfailingly pulling in admirers- nature lovers, mountain lovers, weekenders, leisure escapers and trekkers - from different corners of the world. Located in the midst of Garhwal Himalaya in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, a mere 7 kilometers trek to Dayara Bugyal from Barsu can give you so much pleasure of trekking in the Indian Himalaya in such a short span of time that you would contemplate doing more of such treks in such unheard of spaces in the Garhwal Himalayan region. Further, the panoramic view of the Bhagirathi peaks, Bandarpoonch, Black peak and scores of other peaks, enriches the journey. One of the easy treks in the Garhwal Himalayan region, it is frequented from the month of May to November and is a grapevine to several travellers and a perfect pick for amateurs.

The Dayara Bugyal Trek commences from Barsu, which is a 225 kilometers drive from Rishikesh via Uttarkashi. From Barsu the trail to Dayara Bugyal ascends gradually through a dense forest of Oak and Rhododendron that also houses a wide variety of wild flowers. Further, the journey also offers a glimpse of the farfetched mountain ranges, which is worth a capture. The trail moves through Barnala Bugyal, which is another alpine meadow and then heads upward to Dayara Bugyal. The undulating surface, innumerous streams, and amazing view of the surroundings and tranquil environment occasionally disturbed by the cattle bells, justify the chasteness of nature. The trail downhill follows the same route to Barsu and thereafter wheels to Haridwar via Rishikesh.

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh

On the day one of our tour, we will board AC train at 06:55 AM from Delhi railway station to Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar railway station, meet our travel guide who will be there to receive you and drive you to Rishikesh. Check in at the already booked hotel in Rishikesh. The rest of the day is free for your own leisure activities. During your free time you are free to explore the town and its abundant natural beauty. Also, you can Ganga Aarti ceremony take place at Parmarth Gath every day in the evening. An overnight stay in the hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 02: Rishikesh - Barsu (225 kms/7-8 hrs)

In the morning after breakfast, we will check out from the hotel in Rishikesh and drive to Barsu via Uttarkashi, which is about 225 kms away and take around 7 to 8 hours to reach. We will be following the road alongside the path of Ganga River and thus, will get opportunity to witness a spectacular view of River Bhagirathi and Bhagirathi valley. On reaching, check in at the already booked guest house and enjoy delicious dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 03: Barsu - Barnala Bugyal (6 kms/3-4 hrs)

Post breakfast, we will leave for trekking to Barnala Bugyal, which is about 6 kms away from Barsu and will take around 3 to 4 hours. The track will required a hard climb through Rhododendron and dense Oak forest. While trekking on this route, trekkers will get an opportunity to see the stunning views of beautiful mountains like Draupadi Ka Danda. Also, one can see Chhanis, the summer shelter for cattle herders and small ponds. On reaching at our campsite in Barnala Bugyal, rest for some time. The rest of the day is free to explore the nearby area by your own. Enjoy an overnight stay in the tent.

Day 04: Barnala Bugyal - Dayara Bugyal (6 kms/2.5 hrs)

After breakfast in the morning, we will walk to Dayara Bugyal, which is about 6 kms awsy and required 2.5 to 3 hours to reach. En-route, we will pass through Pine forests and climb above the tree line to reach of Dayara Bugyal's alpine meadows. We will set our camp for night stay here and spend some quality time with other group members. An overnight stay in the camp.

Day 05: Dayara Bugyal

The day is fixed for exploring the scenic beauty of Bugyal. We will be exploring various small streams flowing across and the rising and falling surfaces of Bugyal. Please be notified that trekking in this region is a little tough due to the lack of oxygen. Thus, we will be taking a short and easy walk while witnessing some of the most beautiful elements of the place. One can also see the rare found birds like the Griffon and Lammergaier here. Enjoy an overnight stay in camp in Dayara Bugyal.

Day 06: Dayara Bugyal - Barsu - Uttarkashi

Today after breakfast in the morning, we will trek back to Barsu village and pass through a sharp sliding path. On reaching Barsu village that was destroyed in earthquake of 1991, we can witness the leftovers of the disaster took place. Also one can feel the powerful impact of the earthquake even today. Afterwards, we will leave for Uttarkashi by road. On arrival, check in at the already booked hotel/guest house in Uttarkashi and have a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 07: Uttarkashi - Haridwar (190 kms Drive) - Delhi (By train)

On the last day of our tour, we have breakfast early in the morning and check out from the hotel/guest house in Uttarkashi and leave for Haridwar railway station, which is about 190 kms away. On reaching Haridwar railway station, catch the train at 18:05 PMfor Delhi. We will arrive Delhi by 22:45 PM.
