Dharamshala to Triund Trek

Easy Trek

If you're holidaying in McLeodganj, and have just one day free for camping or want to indulge in some adventure activity, then go up to Triund Hill. Located above McLeod Ganj in the lap of the Dhauladhar range, Triund can be reached by a steep uphill trek from Dhramkot through rhododendron and oak trees. Dubbed as the crown jewel of Dharamshala, Triund offers a perfect view of the Dhauladhar Mountains on one side and Kangra Valley on the other. Both birdwatchers and stargazers are also well rewarded in Triund's environs. It's a beautiful three to four hours walk to the top. Of course, if you want to be little more adventurous, you can go over the Indrahar. In terms of slopes, the trek is easy, but the last kilometers are relatively steep. Along the way, there are many small tea shops where one can refresh during the hike.

Triund has compiled millions of trekkers to exploit its beauty. Lush greenery all around, clear sky puffed by mountains, meadows in the foreground and summits in the background, makes this trek an incredible experience for ardent trekkers. See below for complete itinerary.
