Bara Bhangal Trekking Tours
The alpine terrain between the Kullu Valley and Dharamshala is one of the most spectacular and little known regions of the West Himalaya. Trails crossing verdant meadows (with excellent campsites) and traversing snow bound passes to access secluded Hindu villages and remote shepherdencampments are the key attractions of this unique trek. This is a trek for the 'Himalayan hand', with an opportunity to absorbunrivalled views of the Pir Panjal, Bara Bhangal and Dhar Dhaula Dhar ranges before descending to the Kangra Valley and Dharamshala -the seat of the 14th Dalai Lama and his Tibetan government in exile.

Bara Bhangal 
This trek is limited to people experienced in travel in rugged backcountry and with solid know-how of hiking and camping. One of the more challenging routes, it takes one from the lush green Kullu valley to the stark landscapes of Bara Bhangal range. But for the trouble, it is a very fruitful trek that people looking for an isolated, in-tune-with-nature routes.

Day 01): Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport met our representative and then transfer to hotel for overnight stay.  

Day 02): Delhi – Manali
Half day sight seeing at Delhi and by evening drive to Manali by AC Volvo coach. Overnight journey.

Bara Bhangal Trekking Tour

Day 03): Manali
Arrival at Manali by morning. On arrival transfer to hotel for relax. After leisure visit Hadimba Devi temple, old Manali, Tibetan Monastery and the Mall road. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04):
Manali – Lama Dugh (3380 mts/11087) 4 hrs
In the morning we will trek to Lama Dugh. The climb is through thick forests but there is no water point after departing from Manali. As one gains height in this steep climb, the distinct views of different faces of Indrasan, Deo Tibba and peaks of Bara Shigri glacier open up. In the last lag, the path turns to the right and one traverses the ridge horizontally and enters the campsite on an alpine plateau studded with thick growth of alpine flowers. Dinner and overnight stay in camp.

Day 05): Lama Dugh - Rani Sui (4268 mts/14000 ft) 3 hrs 
Today we will trek to Rani Sui. The height gain on this day is approximately 1 km. The trek is through steep a ridge below Thanpri Tibba (4000m). From this point, one can have a magnificent glimpse of Manali, situated on the left bank of River Beas and the whole upper Kullu valley, which appears swathed in the different colors of the season. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.  

Day 06): Rani Sui - Taintagiri Glacier(4917 mts/16128 ft) over Manali Pass (5070 mts/16630 ft) 5 hrs
The day is challenging and full of adventure. The Manali Pass offers some great views of the higher peaks in the region - Indrasan, Deo Tibba and Hannuman Tibba. Since the day involves a steep ascent to the pass and a descent to the glacier, it is advisable to start early. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 07): Taintagiri Glacier - Phulan Got (4064 mts/13330 ft) 4 hrs
The fourth day's walk takes one past the Taintagiri Nullah to the river Ravi. After the Manali pass, this is a considerably easy day with the only challenge being in crossing the Taintagiri Nullah. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 08): Phulan Got - Koari Got Spring (3253 mts/10670 ft) 4 hrs
The second glacier of the trek is crossed on this day. Starting early, the trail follows the river and then past the Karu glacier. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.  

Day 09):
Koari Got Spring - Bara Bhangal (2582 mts/) 5 hours
The trail now continues down the Ravi River into the deodar forest, to the only large village in the valley, Bara Bhangal. 

Day 10): Rest day at Bara Bhangal
Explore village and surrounding areas. Bara Bhangal is isolated and seldom visited. Members of the Gaddi tribe inhabit it. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.


Day 11):
Bara Bhangal – Kaori Got Spring (5 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast trek back to Kaori Got Spring. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 12): Kaori Got Spring - Balu Got (3917 mts/12848 ft) 4 hrs  
Branch northward to begin the approach to Taintu Pass. The vegetation for the next two days is similar to that found in Lahaul.

Day 13): Balu Got - Taintu Pass base (4 hrs) 
In the morning set out to climb up to the base of the pass.  Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Bara Bhangal Trekking Tour
Day 14): Taintu Pass base - Beas Kund (4207 mts/13790 ft) 2 hrs
This is a strenuous day over ice gully and moraine. From the pass, one can see into both the valleys of Kullu and Bara Bhangal. Beas Kund is a lovely alpine meadow, which has a small pond which is considered the traditional source of the River Beas. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 15): Beas Kund - Solang Nullah (4 hrs) – Manali (1 hrs)
In the morning walk down the Beas river over moraine and grassland to the popular Solang Nullah and from here drive to Manali. Dinner & overnight stay in hotel.

Day 16): Manali – Delhi
Day at leisure and in the evening drive to Delhi by AC Volvo coach. Overnight journey.  

Day 17:) Delhi
Arrival at Delhi by morning. On arrival at Delhi transfer to hotel for relax. In the evening drive to International airport to catch onwards flight.
